How do I find out the version of SQL server that is running?

Sorry for the newbie question.

I've been tasked with inventorying the datacenter, and need to find out the quickest way to find out what version of SQL server is running on each machine (if it is at all).

hi,

u can find this out from query analyser, by running this statement

Select @@version
