Hi All,

I am sure there is a simple command for this. I need to see how much memory and what processor is being used in all my Sun client boxes. I am looking to upgrade the memory and cpu so I need to know what they are using before I order. I know I could reboot and that would tell me but I don't want to stop the busy workers!

Cheers

Hi Jimbo!

Go to /usr/platform/<selectyourplatformhere>/sbin and
run prtdiag with ./prtdiag

First line tells you sys info without system downtime!

# ./prtdiag
System Configuration: Sun Microsystems sun4u Sun (TM) Enterprise 250 (2 X UltraSPARC-II
System clock frequency: 100 MHz
Memory size: 2048 Megabytes

========================= CPUs =========================

Run Ecache CPU CPU
Brd CPU Module MHz MB Impl. Mask
--- --- ------- ----- ------ ------ ----
SYS 0 0 400 2,0 US-II 10.0
SYS 1 1 400 2,0 US-II 10.0

That should do it...

Cheers,

Hi,

go to /usr/platform/sun4u/sbin/ or appropriate directory

and run prtdiag command with "-v" option.

Thanks for this ......

I knew I had seen it before, but I rarely need to find out this kind of stuff!

Cheers

Jimbo
