i need to display a local IP Address in BCB5. I started off with just having my program boot up WinIPCfg, but now I need a label to display the IP. I dont want a new component because of transfer hassels between computers and creating and packages and all that. any help would be greatly appreciated, thanx,

wim vanherp,

thanks, but i already have been there and i dont have that component...so now what do i do? am i supposed to?

thanks

Another suggestion is to look at users.swing.be/francois.piette/wsocketu.htm . He has a component called TWSocket. If you don't want to use the socket, you might get some ideas by looking at the include source code.

In CBuilder, there is in the SMTP Part (Internet Tools) a function to get your own IP-Address

in bcb5 you can find the component in the "fastnet" tab instead of "internet"
