How do I export POSTGRES data into MS Access?

I need to get the contents of two tables from a postgres database into a CSV text file or something else that I can import into Access. How do I do an export to text with postgres?

What ODBC options are there? If I used the postgres ODBC driver on my Windows system, is there a program that will pull all the data for me or should I create my own app? What files from the postgres database do I need if I do this?

The easiest way to do this is to install psqlODBC on your Windows computer. (read

http://odbc.postgresql.org/).

This will allow you to make a connection to PostgreSQL and share that connection as a local ODBC source in your Data Sources (ODBC) section of your Control Panel.

Just make sure PostgreSQL was installed with the --enable-odbc option when compiled, and setup your pg_hba.conf file to allow for connections from your Windows machine.

Then, you can use Access to either manipulate the PostgreSQL database remotely, or to import any tables you want locally as regular Access tables. -------------------------------------------
