I have to convert an old Approach database to Access 2003
I have loaded Approach 97 and discovered that the database consists of 3 files an APR, a DBF & a DBT is appears that the DBT contains the 1000 or so hyperlinks to the word docs that this database is linked to.
If I go to file/export and choose Microsoft Access all seems to work (I can select the fields etc)and export, I get the red ribbon progress indicator which gets to 100% then nothing!
- no file is produced in the target directory
- no error is displayed
- no hanging of Approach
Other export file types seem to work OK but they dont allow the memo fields to be exported (when selected for export they show as grey in the fields selected)
I've searched all over the net for utilities but without success. Is the DBT a Clipper file?
