I disabled the SDI paddle board with the enable/disable switch on the board, as I wanted to change the baud rate on port 2. Then I enabled it with the switch, but the led stays lit. Can I or must I enable in software and in which LD to do this?

FYI... You should disable all the tty's on the board before flipping the switch on the card. It can and most cases will, INI the system if not disabled in software first.

and be very carefull when you remove or insert that card.. one clean motion.. when it goes back in the status lamp will come on BEFORE the board is seated.. i usually change the baud rate with the card plugged in..

fyi.. the reason that card takes special precautions is you hardware assign an interupt (device number).. if you spike that pulse the cpu stops.. the box can not switch fast enough to prevent an ini... i have seen a card not seated keep a switch down until it was reseated and the switch was power cycled
