How do i enable my bosses AA to answer his calls on the BCM 50?

I need to enable my bosses AA to answer his calls from her phone. The AA can pickup his line if the call is through his direct line (123 456-5209, but not if it is through the main line (123 754-1000) where the caller has to enter his extension (209). Can some one help? I am not a Phone tech and I really need to get this done as soon as possible. Thanks

Go into Call Pilot Table and set the line # to be answered and set the ring count.

Do you mean his voice mail or the AutoAttendent?
For an AA it is only on lines not extentions and if the call is on the Main # that is all can happen is dial the extention.

Well it is working as it is designed, you can try something though.

Lets say his old extention was 444.

Change the bosses extention to a new number, lets say 555. tell him to keep it unlisted, and give out only 444 as his extention.

Now put a phone in the phone room with 444 as the extention, and fwd this to a call tree where the caller has options, or just listens to whatever you boss wants them to listen to. It can have an option to transfer to his extention which will transfer to 555.

So a caller knowing his extention of 444 calls in, is forwarded to the menu with greeting or options or both, then can be directed to his phone without anyone knowing his real extention now.
