I am fixing a friend's computer and it won't boot up. I used my POST card and got a C6 code. So I got the beep codes for my BIOS and it says that C6 means "re-enable cache on bootstrap processor." I have no idea how to do that.

Is this something I can follow instructions and do? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Check your hardware manually.....

Mudskipper did a really good job on the following FAQ, and although it was titled with regard to building or upgrading, it is also a good guide to basic troubleshooting of your hardware.
