How do I edit canned reports for alerts 1

Hi, Using SharePoint 2007,
How do I edit the system generated canned reports that are sent out when the end user chooses "Alert Me". When a new doc is added to a library a report is sent with minimal info, when any change occurs a report is sent with all the required info. I need the first report to look like the second.
