I created the DTS package (export) to query a set of tables and export the resulting records to a comma delimited file, but now I find I need to "tweak" that query some.

How do I access it to make my changes. When I click on properties, I don't get the query edit screen.I'm sure it's something very simple and basic, but I'm not well enough versed to figure it out.

Thanks in advance for your help.

First, you have to start editing the package, this is easy if it is a local package. It is saved as a file, you have to right-click DTS in Enterprise Manager and select Open packege.

To edit the query, in the package designer, choose properties of the Transform Data Task, which is a thick black arrow between two connection icons.

Remember to save the package.

Cheers

See -- I told you it would be something simple and it is.

Thanks, yksvaan! That worked a treat!
