Greetings,

How do I dynamically prompt a report to Page Advance vs. Line Advance?

I realize that within the Report Designer properties, there is an area called "Data Grouping". And within this area, I can cause a Group to generate either a New Page or a New Line. What I can't seem to figure out is how to change this dynamically (otherwise I need 2 separate reports, in case one of my users wants each new datagroup to start on a new page, but another user wants to save paper and start each new datagroup on a new line).

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Dave Higgins

Hi Dave.

Any time you want to find out something about the structure of an FRX file, run the 90FRX report in HOME() + 'Tools\FileSpec'. It completely documents what every field in the FRX is for.

Running this report, I see that setting PAGEBREAK to .T. is what you want.

Hi Doug,

Thanks for the suggestion ... I have never looked at that tool, but it sounds like exactly what I need.
