Hi,
I have a pre printed form and a text file that is printed on the form. I have a (scanned) image of the form,
and would like to use it as a background for the text, so I can display the form with the text on the screen.
The print is a dos file 10 characters per inch and 6 lines per inch is there a method to convert this using css fonts and line-spacing ect. or is it just a matter of trial and error.
Any suggestions, or pointers appriciated especialy what units should I be working in ie. em, pc, px, mm?

Thanks

David

Unless there is some compelling reason to use the pre-printed form layout, I'd just go with a full html form from scratch.
You can always stlye it one way for the screen display and another for print. You want to work with ems (preferred) or pixels on the screen and points for print.

There will always be someone who can't read your carefully crafted on-screen form and enlarge the fonts (breaking your layout if you have a fixed size background).
