I am trying to play a DVD that gives the following error message

"This copy protected disc can not be played when the TV function is enabled"

It is the only DVD that gives the message. All the others play fine. It also plays fine on another DVD player.

I have an Nvidia GeForce2 MX/MX400 with 64mb RAM.

So OK, I thought, there must be something in the Nvidia software to resolve this problem.

No luck there.

I've looked at the Nvidia site and that was not much help. I spoke to the retailer who had never heard of the problem and was no help either.

Anybody any ideas how to get round this problem.

I got this last nite when trying to play BO Selecta DVD!!

I also have Geforce 2 and am using PowerDVD

I got around the problem by disabling the second monitor by doing

Right Click Desktop -> then removing the secondary monitor

I then looked at my NVIDIA software and removed the PAL TV OUT option

I removed the TV-OUT cable from my Geforce card

PowerDVD seems fussy about TV out, im sure WinDVD wouldn't be bothered about it

I've since downloaded Cinematograph and it plays the DVD OK. You're right, PowerDVD is fussy about TV Out. I've was Using PowerDVD as that had been bundled with the DVD Player. I'll also look at your suggestion of using WinDVD.

Cinematograph played the pictures OK but the sound decompression was poor.

However, I resolved by downloading the latest update for PowerDVD and that resolved the problem completely.

So a very simple solution in the end.
