How do I disable the weekly scan??? PLEASE!

I installed Norton Internet Security which has the antivirus software in it too. The problem is the stupid thing ties up my computer for 3 hours once a week scanning for viruses and I cannot find a way to turn it off. Anyone know how I can do this??

Open up NIS and choose the Nortons Antivirus tab, click "Scan For Viruses". Then at the bottom you will see schedule. Click Schedule and this will allow you to turn off the scheduled task. Although I do not recommend you to turn off the scheduled scan. You can change it to a better time where you will not be on the computer during the scan.

Another way is:
Start | Run
Type tasks in the run box and hit enter
You will see the nortons task to scan my computer.
You can right click on it and click properties and click schedule and change the time or day to scan.
Or you can right click and then delete the task
