how do i disable router funciton of ADSL modem

this may sound silly but i was told that to enable my wireless router that i have to disable the router function on my ADSL modem....but i dont know where to go in the control panel to be able to do that....i need help rally quickly please

No model number for the modem, no vendor name from the modem, yet you hope we know the commands for the modem?

I tried to remain child-like, all I acheived was childish.
