I just got a Dell Dimension 3000 with McAfee Security Center. I used the Files and Settings Wizard on the new PC and a null modem cable to transport my files and setting from my old PC to the new. McAfee asks me each time I boot up to login as Administrator. I went to the McAfee Security Center and disabled Privacy Service, but each time I boot up it is enabled again. How do I stop McAfee from asking me to sign in each time? Also in my task bar there is an Icon for “Local Area Connection, A network cable is unplugged” how do I get rid of that. I have disconnected the USB null modem cable, as I only wanted to transfer files. I appreciate the help.

Laryy, you other thread plus this one, paints a disturbing picture. Are you trying to break into a computer you are not allowed to use?

Why can't you simply ask the owner to let you into this PC, if in fact the owner is agreeing to it?

Dimandja, this post has nothing to do with the first post. This post is about my computer and how it starts up. How does that relate to a database attachment not being able to get through Outlook Express? Before you attack a person’s motives, you should read and comprehend more thoroughly. The "picture" you mention is weird abstract art. How many times have you been hacked with a Microsoft Access Database attached to your e-mail? I hope the monitor reads this and gives you some good advice. For those out there on this planet, I hope you can help.

Sorry I misunderstood your post.

Not a problem. I have always had great results on this forum. Lots of good folks willing to help out. I'm sure now that you meant well.

LarryE,

I have never liked McAfee. I would remove it using the Control Panel, Add & Remove Programs and then replace it with something that works better.

Thanks, Dan, I agree. I do like Norton better.
