My problem is that whenever I download anything from the internet, the files automatically downloading into the temporary internet files.
Can you tell what I should do in order to disable this? I want to choose the location( in other words I want to tell it to download to some other folder)

I am using internet explore 6.0 and operating system is Windows 2000 Professional.

I've never heard of that before, but you could go into the options in Explorer and click on the advanced tab and click the "Restore Defaults" button and see if that corrects it.

If not, try to think of anything you may have loaded recently that might be acting as a "Download agent" and overriding Explorer's control.

Can't you just browse to where you want to put it first? That's what I do and my pc remembers the next download location. Glen A. Johnson
