I am a new user looking at old Impromptu reports and I am unable to figure out where the report data is coming from because there is a very large catalog that the report is querying.

So if the query data shows city and the catalog has 10 occurrences of city, how do I know which city in the catalog is the right one?

Is there a way to reverse engineer the report to see where the data is coming from?

If you go to 'Report' > 'Query' and then the 'Profile' tab, click on the 'SQL' radio button. Holding down the Ctrl & Alt keys, click on the 'Edit' button. You should now have a window headed 'Magic SQL' which shows the SQL sent to the data source. You may then find it easier to cut and paste this into your favourite text editor.
