how do I define a Maint set on an option 11?

Hi,
I used to manage an option 11 @ another job and it had a maintenance set in the phone room. I used to use it to gain trunk access on different channels to see if both of my long distance pics were correct. I'm now at another job and want to do that here but I'm not sure if or where the maint set is. I used to do 191* to enter maint mode, whould that be the same for this switch or is that defined at each switch? also if anyone could help me with the commands to gain truck access that would be helpful too
My old notes say 53# 36## would that put me on loop 3 channel 6? I forget

you should have "MTA" in the CLS of the phone you want to use as a maintenance set.

'191' logs you into the PBX via the maint set. 53#36## loads overlay 36 into memory. That is the same as typing LD 36 on the TTY terminal. Looking at the numbers on the dial pad, 53 represents LD and 36 is the overlay. A single # indicates a space and a double # (##) indicates a <cr>.

Once in overlay 36 (Trunk Maint), you use TRK l s c u (loop/shelf/card/unit) for Opt 21 or higher and TRK c u (card/unit) for Opt 11 to access the trunk TN.

Ex: 875#12#0#6#5## represents TRK 12 0 6 5<cr>. (This example is for an analog trunk.) BTW, a * releases the trk (hang up).

In LD 81, LST at REQ, then enter until FEAT. Here type in MTA, then press enter twice. If you have a maint set already programmed in the system, it will listed here. Record the TN. If not, program one as Fred posted.

You Guys are great! This is the first post I've made to this site and I really appreciate the help. I manage a 150 person site for IT that includes everything from soup to nuts, i.e. network, telecom, desktop support, ect... Its nice to have a resource to refer to when I need my memory refreshed and now I believe I've found it. I will monitor posts and be sure to contribute where I can. I have tried newsgroups in the past only to be ignored or redirected to some website full of drivel. I have found a redemption!

You need to print out the SPRE code in the customer data block, it might not be 1, first enter the spre code then 91
