I'm creating a report which is a legal receipt for shares in a company. In legalese, it's common practice to write the number of shares in words first, and then in numbers, like this:

one thousand three hundred fifty (1,350).

Is it possible to get Access to look at a number field and generate the corresponding text?

All help would be appreciated.

numerous entries in the FAQs address this. May be in a different venus (any Ms Access fora or vb fora)

try any of these:

Public Function CurrencyText(CurrencyValue As Currency) As String

Function SpellDollar(dblValue As Double) As String

Thanks.

I got the other one from genomon working just fine and so I'm not going to upset the apple cart at this point by trying something else. If it ain't broke, don't fix it is a pretty good motto to live by!

Interesting code, though.
