Hello,

I am using Crystal Reports XI and Crystal Server XI.

I have some standard Cystal reports that are used by used by different customers. Each customer has their own database. So, currently, I have to change the datasource for "Report1" for each customer every time I send it out to a different customer.

Is there a way to create one generic or dynamic datasource that will work for all customers? If so, how would I set this up?

TIA,

Hi,
One way would be to have each customer create an ODBC DSN using a name you provide ( the same as the one you use when designing the report) - That way, it should run anywhere that DSN is defined and accessable..

Should even work with different Database types as long as no database-specific functions are included..
