How do I count the number of rows in SQL server user tables?

I need to do a count(*) of the number of rows of data within tables that are listed within the table sysobjects - but only those that have an xtype value of 'U'. I really should know it but cannot figure it out so please let me know if you can help so I can add it to my nightly scripts.<br><br>Thanks<br>
