Hi,
New to this forum so please be patient with me. I'm trying to figure out how to copy a string of edited clips and then paste them elsewhere in my video. I'm using Premiere 6.0.

What I've actually done is made a stop motion sequence out of a single clip, and ended up with about 30 smaller, edited clips. Now I want to use this sequence elsewhere in my timeline, but can't seem to be able to select all the clips, copy them and move them elsewhere.

Any help would really make my day.

Cheers!

The Quick Reference Card (in PDF format on the distribution CD if you've lost the hard copy) is the main source of information about actions like this.

In this case, the section about timeline tool toggles says that ALT+Block Select gives block copy.

Use the block select tool to mark the area that you wish to copy, drag and hold down ALT to copy into the new location, which must be clear and large enough to accept the incoming clips.

If you omit the ALT, you make a virtual clip instead.

If you use ALT+CTRL, you get a block move.
