Statistics with rows and columns

I have an Excel spreadsheet with 208 names and information like Gender (M or F), Ethnicity (about 10 different codes in all – e.g. IND WHI WHE BLA ..) and a set of 4 test (e.g. Test 1; Test 2, Test 3 and Test 4)

I want to turn them into a table something like this with average scores of the tests?


Male Female
T1 T2 T3 T4 : T1 .. T4
IND
WHI

How do I do this?

Without seeing the spreadsheet, it sounds like you need to create a pivot table (Data menu). If you want to send to me, feel free, and I can give you better advice.
