How do you convert a database file into a text file? Whats its basic source code? Thanks and God bless

A database is a container (in fact it's a table itself) that holds tables and information about the tables it holds. Can you clarify what you trying to do?

Thanks for replying. What I'm trying to do is to save the stuff inside the textbox and save it into a file or preferably a text file so that I could get a back up copy. Thank you again.

are you trying to save the data in the table or just one field in the table? Attitude is Everything

Just 1 field in a table. Is it possible to save it as a textfile? Thankz

Check the help file topic for COPY TO. e.g.
COPY TO mybackup.txt FIELDS myfield TYPE SDF

Look at the FOR clause to limit which records you want to save the data for.
