Hello,

Im trying to connect a powerbook G4 to a television using the S-Video out on the powerbook, to the RCA VIdeo in on the television. The cable which I have is S-video on the one side and on the other side there are 2 RCA plugs(Red and black), I dont know which one is in and out, I tried both but I still have a scrambled picture on the TV. I just put the TV on Video1 (is that correct?) The audio is separate and is not a problem. I need to know how the cable should be? Where plugged in? why does my S-video cable have 2 RCA plugs (In/Out?)?.

Thanks

Actually I'm trying to do the opposite, that is to go from three RCA plugs (Video, Right Audio and Left Audio) into S-Video. Does anyone know if such a cable exists?

Are you trying to view your TV on your Powerbook screen??

i dun dink dats possible.... and red and black r usuallie audio.... yellow is video... i havent seen such a cable ever....

TimTang,

There wouldn't be a cable like that, because S-Video is exactly what it says - VIDEO. You can't and wouldn't want to converge audio (L & R) into video...

Now there are cables that go from a single RCA jack to S-Video. Just remember that when this signal is being converted to analog, you lose quality.
