How do I connect Pocket-PC & Palm with Bluetooth?

I've been trying to get a Palm Tungsten T2, and an HP iPaq Pocket PC 2003 connected via bluetooth and am failing miserably.

Has anyone actually been able to do this?

And if so, what is the secret?
