the best way is to connect the with what is called crrosover cable all need is a network card in each computer and this cable you can get one at any small computer shop they don't usal have them at bestbuy or compusa. So long and thanks for all the fish.

Thanks!
Now, how do I create windows 98 network drives?

Okay, thanks everyone! But one thing is left that I don't know how to do. I don't know how to configure the TCP/IP protocol, well I know how to, but I just don't know what to do. One more thing, how do I find out my computer's IP address?

for home networking you get to make it up but, the are some rule you have to pick a class for home most people use class c private network that means your ip address should have these first there numbers 192.168.1.xxx the xxx can be any number between 1-255 and in the subnet box you need this number 255.255.255.0 just like that each computer get a differnet top number but the bottom number or subnet need to be the same on all your computer.

now go to network neberhood on your desktop right click a list will pop up go to porperties then go to tcp/ip in that list that came up and again go to poreties and you can chage it in there

if you just want to see the ip go to run and type winipcfg So long and thanks for all the fish.
