I have a table in my database that needs to be updated.
The table's data is generated from another system in excel
format.
When adding the table to my database I needed to add an extra column in which I added the data to that column.

I need to refresh my table to have the latest updates from
the excel spreadsheet without overriding the extra column
I had added to my existing database table.

I hope I have explained this correctly. I am new to Access and this is the first time I have to update one of my tables.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi,

Quicky.

In Access -> Create new LINK table. Choose your EXCEL file to link to.

In Access, you now effectively have an Access table.

Create a query to add the 'Excel' table records to your current table records.
