I have installed visionfs on my 5.05 openserver box (The product is licensed) and read the *lousy* readme file like ten times but could not find anything pertaining to the shares. The visiontools and user home directories are shared by default to each user but I want to share other directories and can't seem to find where to do that.

Also, when I run profedit.exe from the visiontools share it complains that I need to be logged in as a visionFS Administrator which I am. I double checked this with the "visionfs status" command.

I don't understand why SCO has to be so vague about visionfs. Any help is appreciated.

when i tried to use visionfs...(4 or 5 yrs ago) I could never get the command line working properly, always had to use the windows client to configure things... so i don't remember where/how to configure things ...my best advice would be to use samba.....

On the profedit.exe problem, I used to have the same problem, finaly I was able to more or less get it to work by doing the following: I created a new account in my PC with user id and a password, then went to Unix and created the same acount.
This worked for me, however, I still can not access the profedit.exe from the account that I had set up in mi PC before VisionFS was installed.
Good Luck
Joe
