Hi all

I'm running Windows 2000 servers (SP4) and I'm writing a simple phonebook for out Intranet.

What I need to do is to just test for the existance of an object in AD and get a true / false return code. The object can either be a User account or Contact and it may reside in any OU below the begining of my 'Users' OU.

ie

OU1--OU2
|
-OU3

The object can either be in OU2 or OU3 but not in OU1.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks in advance.

Andy
