how do i check a cell value and then colour the background? 1

i have a column that has a series of 0's and 1's in.

how do i find the value for the cell and then based on this change the background colour eg 1=red and 0 = green.

Select the data column.
Choose Format, Conditional Formatting.
In the dialog box, choose Cell Value Is, equal to, 0.
Click the Format button.
Select the cell background color at Patterns.
Click Ok.

To add the second format, click the Add button in the Conditional Formatting dialog box.
