how do I change what format the report is output in

I am using CE v8, I seem to remember ages ago changing a paramenter somewhere but i can't remeber where.

Can somebody let me know where the setting is?

I am currently using CE 8.5 Pro, and it has been a while since I have used 8 but I think they work the same with respect to your question. I am pretty sure that it works only for Scheduled Instances

In the Crystal Management Console:

1. Click on "Manage Objects" then choose the report in question
2. Click on the Format tab
3. Choose one of the formats in the drop down list.
4. Click Update
5. Choose your destination and Schedule ~Brian

I thought that there was a setting in one of the ini files. I have looked through the ini files but I don't think it is something obvious like docformat=PDF. I think it is more like *****=1 or *****=2.

I did have a list of parameter settings but seem to have lost it (
