Hi, I want to be able to record calls for training purposes but want to change the default system message from "warning this call is being recorded" to "This call is being recorded for training purposes" but don't see that option anywhere to make that change. Any clues?

Thanks,
Aaron

I replaced the file that sounds the most like the one played on the recording but it doesn't change anything. Is there a way to figure out which file it is, or is there a tool to change the wav file?

You could just put a forced announcement at the beginning of a VMail call route that says the message and then transfers the call into the Hunt Group for the Agents. If that is how you are using it.

If you are recording for everyone in the system (auto or manual) that wouldn't work for you...just a thought.

Thanks,

Tim

Another way you can change this message is create a module in Voice Mail Pro Called RECORD (Note the uppercase!) and add a generic action in the module with your message in.

This message will be used over the default.

Hi, I was able to change the recording announcement so when a person presses the shortcut, the announcement is made "this call will be recorded for training purposes" and they are able record the conversation. But it seems to be a system wide recording. Is there any way to change it so group A gets one type of recorded message and group B gets another when pressing the button to record a conversation?

Also I didn't understand the message above about putting the message at the beginning of a Vmail call route? If it's about making an announcement when the call comes in that the call may be recorded that is something we're looking into as well. How is this done?

Also I didn't understand the information about creating a module. How could this be used?

Thanks!

I guess what Tim was suggesting (which is what I do) is to have a greeting before the call goes to Group either by using an Auto Attendent as the caller dials in to the group via a direct number or if you have options you could put a different message on the selection before transfering the call into the group. If you were going to do this then you would want to turn off the Message Recording option in Manager\System.
