I work with pagemaker and we have a specific setup and I have to change the document setup everytime. How do I change the defaults to the document setup?

Thank You,
Sprite

Hi, Sprite,

To setup PM's global defaults, load up PM but do not open any publication.

Any settings you now make will become the default for a new "untitled" publication.

You can totally change the style and colour palettes if you wish.

What ever font or paragraph settings you choose under the "Type" drop down menu will become your default "no style".

You can similarly set publication defaults by choosing your settings with the pointer tool selected and no objects selected.

Thank you but I would like to change the default for ALL of the publications that I open, not just the current one. What I would like to do is be able to open Pagemaker, open document setup and say ok. instead I have to change margins, page size etc. for every publication.

How do I change the margin defaults, and take off the double sided page options, are the big questions?

That includes setting margins, double-sided, default "compose to" printer, autoflow, "snap to" and anything else which not greyed out.
