I'm in front of my terminal for my meridian system and I don't know what to do as I am new to this system.

I'm logged into the system as the admin (logo)
and I have an extension that is currently call forwarded to an external phone number.

Unfortunately that external number is now dead and I need to change the call forward to a new external number.

How can I do this from the terminal?

yes but you can't make a hard forward active without remote call forward. ld 20 prt dnb xxxx for the phone number, that will give you the tn. then prt tnb x x x x, or x x for an opt 11. then disu x x then chg aaaa (phone type) tn xxxx, echg yes fdn xxxxxxxx the new forward no answer,

If it's just call forwarded, you can go to the phone hit call forward ....enter your new number ,remember to add a nine(at the front of the number)if thats your access code to get out to the public network and hit call forward again. No need to use the terminal<:)

If you change the key and program the same, except with new forward number, the phone should still stay forwarded just to the new number. ECHG YES; ITEM KEY xx cfw xx 9xxxxxxxxxxx
