How Do I Change My Screen Resolution 1

I can't believe I can't find this in the help files or the darn dummies book...

How do I change the resolution of my monitor? It's on 1280x1024; I'd like to put it to 1024x768 or something.

I apologize for the stupid question, but the answer is not apparent.
