How Do I Change Excel's Background (Not Sheet) Color?

Hi All!

Can't seem to find the solution to this, because everyone thinks I'm referring to the background of the Spreadsheet itself...

Example: I have a Worksheet that is 10 cells x 10 cells. I have hidden all other rows/columns, which leaves me with a gray "background" outside of that 10x10 grid that cannot be typed into (obviously, because it's hidden [smile] )

How do I change that gray color to something else (ideally, black)?

Thank you in advance for any advice given....

I'd say that the reason you can't find a solution to this is that there isn't one. As far as I know you cannot alter the empty workspace grey to something else.

Cheers, Glenn.

Did you hear about the literalist show-jumper? He broke his nose jumping against the clock.

I don't know of any way, either.

Best I can suggest is to use Tools/Options to remove the scroll bars and sheet tabs and then re-size the window for an exact fit around the sheet so you don't see any of the gray surrounding area.
