I wish to change the icon associated with a file. In the help & support of XP it says "Create a connection file (.rdp file), or use an existing .rdp file" , I dont know what that means, can someone explain this to me

Thanks

What kind of file?
The .rdp refers to remote desktop profile, a profile for a particular remote desktop connection.

thanks for the reply :) I have installed zipmagic and the default icon is yucky. It was easy to use an alternate icon when I was using win98, but I cant find a way in xp. I am trying to change the icon of my zip files, it currently looks like a folder with a zip in it but i want it to look like the typical box with a vice ocross it.

In windows explorer, Tools, Folder Options, File Types scroll to the file association type, and the select Advanced, Change Icon.

thats great, thanks so much. That certainly did the trick :)
