how do i capture a key stroke. ie alt and prt screen

I would like to take the open window, use the keys alt & printscreen to place image in clipboad.

use alt+prtscn to copy the highlighted window, you need to click on the desktop if you try to copy the whole desktop and then finally paste it to wordpad, words or paintbrush. good luck.
