Go to IBM's Web site, and read everything there is on MQSeries. Then you'll realize that your request is not so urgent. MSMQ is a waste of time. It is becoming part of COM+ with the introduction of Queued Components, but in my opinion, as an MCSE and MQSeries Specialist, if you're in need on a solid MQ infrastructure go with MQSeries. Microsoft still has a ways to go to make MSMQ as good as MQSeries. Also, if you're needing to integrate win32 with any other platforms (AIX, OS/390, HP-UX, Solaris, AS/400...) then forget about MSMQ. Yes, there's a MSMQ-MQSeries bridge built into Host Integration server 2000, but why bridge when MQSeries runs better on NT that MSMQ does?
The reasons you'll wish to know more are obvious: cost is much less than some competing messaging products; it is easily administered and programmed; performance--one benchmark last year found MSMQ to be 10x faster on NT than a well-known competitor.
Briefly, if you do the tests again using *persistent* messages the results are somewhat different. If you do the tests again using queues that already have a large number of messages on them the results become humiliating!
