how do i back up the service setting in winxp

okie well heres the story, my friend got the lovsan virus the otherday and disabled RPC when the os asked him to, now he cannot turn it back on and so many services depend on it that it cripples his system not to have it.

i need to back up my service settings so he can load them and run properly again
