Hi,
I saw this not long ago but cant find it again, tried finding something on it on msdn but im typing the wrong keywords to find anything of use just wouldnt bring up what im after.

I have turned the allow default shortcut menus in startup in MS Access, and i have set the shortcut menus for my forms to NO instead of yes, i did this to allow use of it in my reports.

I tried using Access customize toolbar menu, to edit the shortcut menu bars for Reports, i removed everything except print.. but the design view button still shows up, does anyone know how to only get the option of print for reports, need to stop anyone from being able to get into design view.

Thanks for any help

Hi, i have just tried creating a new custom shortcut menu bar, and thats worked, and i have attached it to my report, only problem is, im trying to select the print command in

view -> toolbars -> customize.. -> file (print command is in this list) i have dragged that over to the custom shortcut menu, but it isnt adding it to it.

So when i open my report and right click, it brings up an empty shortcut menubar.

you could convert it to a mde file, this would stop people been able to edit the report and forms.

They can still get into the tables and queries though...

I have stopped them from being able to get into the form menus, but i need to give access to the shortcut menu in the reports, im almost done, just Access doesnt seem to be letting me drag the print option over to add it to the custom shortcut menu bar.

It is meant to, from what ive read off msdn, just isnt doing it.

Ah, found it, there was a check box not checked for allowing customization in the properties of the shortcut menus, nvm thanks
