how do i add text to my "directory listing" path

i want to add a "header" and "footer"
for my directory listing URLS on my site..

for example:

http://www.apache.org/dist/httpd/

take a look at this directory, it's also a "directory listing style" because you could still see the "parent directory" and it also has "text" on the top or bottom.

how can i add this text? to a default "listing"
