I have a website which grabs products, etc., from a database, but I am worrying about adding new records online.
I have an Admin account with a password, but if I create a admin login page, how will I make sure that the password can't be intercepted? Would I need a secure-server, or is there an easier way? I am in the same situation but using credit cards and personal details. All forms are access via SSL and then the data written to the db is also further enctyped with a small piece of code so the data in the db is unreadable except by my application. All encyrption code is stored on the server as include files. The database also has a built on password controlled via ODBC. I find this situation works well.

Always look for weakest point in your application (usually the users) and make sure its safe. Always cater for the worst case senerio! [sig]<p>Jace Hayman<br><a href=mailto:jace@swig-online.co.uk>jace@swig-online.co.uk</a><br><a href= West Wales Information Gateway [SWIG]</a><br> [/sig]
