How do I add Merlin Messaging mailboxes? 2

I have dialed into the system and added mailboxes (*7, 0#, password, etc.) to existing extensions that way, but isn't there something in WinSPM that needs to be done? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

you need to go into extensions, cover groups, and add the extension to the voicemail cover group (typically 30). That will get the extension to go into vmail if no one answers.

If you are dealing with a late model Magix (2.5 or later) and a newer Merlin Messaging, you can:

(A) Simply change the LABEL of an extension in WINSPM (or console programming) and then

(B) Do an "update with labels" in WINSPM (or console programming)

This can cut down on a step or two.
