I have one pc that has a static IP address and a differant subnet. the pc is a security camera machine and can only run the security program. which means when it boots up it goes right into the program and nothing else is accessable. I can however get to a dos prompt.

My local lan has this range: 192.168.1.1-255 + Subnet 255.255.255.0 everythign works great on the lan.

My 1 camera PC has this: 192.168.0.1 (static) + subnet 255.255.0.0

can i add this one pc and subnet to my network somehow and gain access to it?

I can change the ip address on any pc to match that of the camera pc and it all works fine, but i don't want to change it all the time.

Win2k Adv. Serv. - AD - DHCP

thnx for any help

Basically you need a router . . if you don't have one add additional NIC to your server with the same subnet as the camera pc and configure routing.

Can't you add a static host route to the camera PC.
