This is probably easy but when I create a text layer I can't seem to move it around and place it on top of the image that I want to apply it to. What is the special way that you can overlay text on to an image??

thanks,

Hi,

Try making a new layer Ctrl+Shift+N then add the text, then use the arrow tool to move it around.

Hope this helps!

If you are working RGB mode, the text tool should drop the text on its own layer. Then just use the "+" (move tool).

Hi,

if the image you are trying to apply the text layer to won't allow you to create a new text layer, try saving the image as a PSD image (standard photoshop) and then add the text layer and save the image in the format you wish
