How do I add a second Domain Controllor using DCPROMO

What are the tricks and traps of using DCPROMO. I have an existing Windows Server 2000 Domain Controller. I want to promote an existing member server to a Domain Controller.

I searched Microsoft.com and I can't find a definitive set of steps. How do I it without screwing up a domain that currently is working fine.
