Hello All

I created a report in Cyrstal Reports 9, and now want to add a new column to the report. When I add the new field, the header gets added, but no data comes along with, even after a refresh. Below are the steps I performed.

Any ideas on how to add a field to an existing report would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your time.

1. Opened the report in Crystal Reports
2. Clicked the "Design View" tab
3. Right clicked on a field using the "Field Explorer and choose "Insert to Report".
4. The field header gets added to the report
5. Right click on the header and use the "Select Expert" tool to filter the displayed data.
6. Click the "Preview" tab
7. Choose "Refresh Data"

That's exactly how I have added a field to a Crystal 9 report. Have you tried it without filtering the data to see if data then shows on the report. I know that sometimes I've filtered data incorrectly so that is why data didn't show on a report.

Thanks for the help. I realized my error, the data I was expecting is stored in a different field.
